Simplified Digital RC Servo Motors for RC Vehicles

The MG996R servo motor offers an increase in speed, tension, and precision over the SG90 and MG90S micro servo motors. This high-speed standard servo motor can rotate 180 degrees (90 in each direction) and is compatible with most standard receiver connectors, suitable for Futaba, Hitec, Sanwa, GWS, and others. It is a digital standard servo with excellent performance.

The servo's dimensions are 40mm x 20mm x 43mm, and it features full metal gears. The operating voltage range is 4.8-7.2V, with a stall torque of 11 kg·cm at 4.8V and 13 kg·cm at 6V. The operating speed is 0.13 sec/60° at 4.8V (no load) and 0.12 sec/60° at 6.0V (no load). The running current is 220±20mA at 4.8V (no load) and 250±20mA at 6.0V (no load).

The control system is based on changes in pulse width, and the amplifier type is an analog controller. The operating temperature range is -10°C to 50°C, and the dead band width is ≤5 μ sec. The rotation angle is 180 degrees, and the plug type is JR and FUTABA universal, with a wire length of 300mm (11.8 inches).

The servo's structure includes a metal sawtooth, a coreless motor, and double ball bearings. The wiring is color-coded: orange for the signal wire, red for the positive wire, and brown for the negative wire.
